1. Your Profile
Across all social media channels, a must do/have tip deals with consistency and expertise. As a nonfiction author, get your “expertise” up front and use at least one other keyword or phrase in the very visible and searchable Profile. As a fiction author, include your genre as well as a reader benefit. Make sure you add your website.
2.Brand YOU and use a Tag Line on your website and everywhere
Buyers will be looking for you, not the publishing company and rarely the title. Next, create a tagline in less than ten words. Use keywords within it.
3. Create a website Opt In on your website
Gathering the names and emails of visitors to your website is a must do. Create a desired free informational piece that the type of individual you would like to work with or buy your book would desire. Simply by adding their name and email it becomes downloadable. Your system automatically captures the email and can then include them in future blogs or other communication pieces you send out. On www.TheBookShepherd.com, a visitor can get a 24 page PDF of Eight Publishing Essentials.
Your Opt In should be right under the banner with your tagline and name or adjacent to it. Make it easy and immediately visible
