Kick-Butt Author and Publishing Tips and Ahas

Sheep Kick Butt test 1

Here’s your author tidbits and ahas for the weekend …

It’s Valentine’s Weekend–why keep it to one day? Do a special eMail and eBlast to all your fans and followers–you love them! Offer your book for $5 plus shipping … heck, why not for FREE plus shipping. The string attached is that they put up a review on Amazon, BN.co and/or Goodreads. Put it out on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Tumblr, Instagram, LinkedIn–wherever you hang out on social media.  Heck, use my image here to get there attention … anything that makes you pop and standout. You will need to bring them to your website to get the freebie, so set up link to make that happen.

Are you writing in the FanFiction arena?  fanfiction

Here are three hot sites that you can get info about FanFiction … better yet start posting. After all, if it was good enough for E. L. James and her Fifty Shades of Grey … it’s going to be a platform for you.

  1. Good Reads http://www.goodreads.com/story/tag/fanfiction With over 18 million users, all members of the site can share their work.
  2. FanFiction https://www.fanfiction.net Not surprisingly, FanFiction is considered to be world’s largest fan fiction archive on the web (the other sites listed here usually have a variety of books posted). With over 2 million users, Harry Potter has over 675,000 titles posted, Twilight 215,000 titles and Lord of the Rings 51,000 titles.
  3. FictionAlley http://www.fictionalley.org/ In 2006, FictionAlley launched HarryPotterWiki, the site boasts over 60,000 registered users.

Bread Clips to the rescue! What author doesn’t have a variety or cords under the table, over the desk, everywhere? Very cool idea for all those cords that multiple
tags for cords and you wonder which goes to what and/or what does it do!
