“Plan it … Set it … and Forget it”
Discover the power of Plan it … Set it … and Forget it. It’s the multi-tasker’s delight when it comes to marketing!
For years, I’ve encourage authors to integrate an auto drive in many of the things they do with their marketing—a type of plan it, set it, and forget it model that once a strategy is in play, use a scheduler to post forward.
And work on something else.
Last year, in late March, my “something else” was overseeing the spring yard clean up and removing the winterizing that was done the previous fall. I had forgotten that I had set up an Amazon Bestseller campaign for my newest book, Cooking with Judith, to post across my personal social media channels.
When I’m on Amazon, I sometimes check in on my book sales with a quick glance on rankings off of the book’s page and scrolling down to the details. Whoa, my book was kissing #1 in a couple of categories. Probing further, the light bulb went off. I had set up a campaign for myself, scheduled three days of CTAs—call to actions, posters that had already been created, and went about my other work.
Auto drive was in play for marketing my book forward. I didn’t do one more. It was a good run. My auto mode created a surprise and huge success.
The results: over 3,900 downloads were made; bestseller in six categories; and bestseller status is four countries: US, Canada, Australia, UK.
Plan it … Set it … Forget it.
