Your quick tip for a still summer’s day is simply this: start thinking about repurposing the book that you already have written. Quick, ask yourself:
- What are the chapters that have my meatiest “stuff” in them?
- If I look at the Contents, are there any chapters that are the “go to” for solutions?
- Is there any late news that relates to my topic that isn’t in my book or hinted at?
- What have I learned since I completed this book?
Now, start reassembling what you have. Search out you blogs and any articles that you have created around your topic. With a fresh eye, pulling out the “best of your best” … you just may have a spanking new book ready to pop out. There’s no sense in reinventing the wheel if it’s not necessary.
