Your book is coming … or you are thinking about doing a “repush” on one that came out last year or some time ago.
Are you ready to shout out and celebrate?
Are you ready to do “the ASK?”
You should be.
It’s time to reach out.
- Who are your Friends?
- Who are your Fans?
- Who has a “site” that could be an ideal hosting venue to invite others to?
- Who has a business that could be the site and bring in potential customers?
- Who has a business that has a list of customers it would invite?
It’s a big question … to do the ASK … but it’s part of your marketing.
I have a new book. It’s really my memoir of where my resiliency factor comes from. The title:
When God Says NO_ Revealing the YES When Adversity and Loss Are Present
My first ASK was a brainstorm with my close friend Mara Purl … she has her new book, the third is her women’s fiction series, Why Hearts Keep Secrets.
I had my annual Tea on Saturday, November 23rdfor 20 authors. I reached out to her with a, “What do you think” type of question. I did the ASK. Out of that, Mara will stay overnight with me and the next morning we will roll out a “hearts” brunch—inviting out personal friends. Celebrating and Signing both our books over heart waffles, quiches, fruit, and cranmosas. A perfect Sunday AM with friends and family. The next day, over 50 books were sold … all from the “ASK”.
Your turn: Do the ASK and celebrate you and your book. Ask a friend. Do an event with a friend. Just do it. As in, now.
